The Courage to Walk in the Dark

"Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right"

The night sky reminds me of the mysterious; the unknown and enigmatic and the courage it takes to walk in it without a light.

Eventually the light comes in. The sun comes up. You can look back at the path you forged in the night and know, clearly, that you were heading in the right direction all along, even if it didn't seem that way at the time. You trusted your inner guidance to lead you. You knew you would be led across the bridge.
My soul sister Ayah Norris has been travelling with me and it's our last night together before I start my solo adventure. We've been talking a lot about process, and about reverence for the processes of life. You can't rush the process in spiritual growth and evolution. Instead, you can just be in the process in each moment, and eventually can look back and see that you were always where you needed to be, even if it didn't feel that way at the time. The sun comes out and you can look back at all that was in the darkness before and you GET IT.
