How do you want to FEEL?
I love the lesson from a course in miracles that teaches us to focus not on the frame, but on the content - meaning, to focus on our feelings and connection and how others make us feel instead of what the ego would have us believe is important (status, possessions etc)
Every year I write out four feelings I want to feel - the feelings that reflect the best version of myself and made me think a juicy YES! when I think of embodying them - this year they were GRACEFUL, POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL and COMPASSIONATE. This is all inspired by Danielle Laporte's Desire Map.
All of my goals or intentions are aligned with the feelings I want to embody. It makes it easier to navigate some of my choices when I can ask myself "will this make me feel powerful? beautiful? compassionate?", or on the flip side, has made it easier to navigate when it's time to let go when a person or situation feels funky, and to do so with grace and compassion
I have a reminder on my phone that reminds me each day of what I AM - these four feelings
There's so much power in being intentional about how we want to BE. It's a beautiful reminder that WE are responsible for our lives and how we want to feel. Feel on :)
